EasyJust Table Leg

Star Prototype worked with EASYJUST, an Australian company, on their great new design for tables in cafes and restaurants. The product is the perfect solution to the wobbly table that you always seem to get when dining Al Fresco.
Just like the name implies, the table could not be easier to adjust.
Star Prototype supplied EASYJUST with a full-scale working prototype from CNC machined Aluminium . We offered a range of finishes for approval including highly polished, powder coated, silver anodized and a painted finish etc.
Trevor Watson, the MD from EASYJUST was very happy with the prototype and commissioned us to make a die cast tool for the base for him.

STAR also worked together with EASYJUST to improve the design from a manufacturing and assembly view point. We hand polished the fixed and moving halves of die parallel to the line of draw to a high degree more than Ra1.6 so the external surface of the castings are very smooth and shiny. We also made fixtures for post machining. The tolerance is +/-0.05mm on some features.
It only took 40 days to get the first batch of highly polished samples.
EASYJUST also looks for various finishing to this project, anodizing, powder coating in different colors and so on. EASYJUST and their distributors are very impressed with our quality and efficiency.
The product is now a commercially available success.
