STAR helps CASH’s get 30,000 assemblies fast!

Australian company Cash’s approached STAR in 2010 to produce 30,000 beer pump deckle holders in a hurry. The parts were in ABS with over-moulded brass threaded inserts. The surface had to be a mirror gloss, so the decision was made to use NAK 80 polishing steel. All the mouldings were chrome plated.

Star Prototype carried out a manufacturability study and eventually assisted Cash’s with modifying the part design to ensure it could be moulded efficiently and achieve the design intent.

The molds were produced in 30 days and the production followed soon after. Some of the product was shipped by air, but mostly by sea. The product has been well received by Cash’s customer base.
